German network opens channels
The German public safety TETRA network, BDBOS, now has extra functionality with the opening up of further use of control channels.
Following requests from several counties, BDBOS has implemented a solution that automatically monitors individual base station control channels to assess their utilisation, and then chooses the last-smallest channel.
The system was put to the test at several major events, such as sporting competitions and public demonstrations.
The new functionality is available to all relevant authorities across Germany.
