As reported here last month, ACMA has made changes to the regulations governing the sale and use of wireless microphone devices. The regulations come into effect on 1 January 2015.

Now, ACMA has stated that from 1 January 2014 it will be illegal for suppliers to import or manufacture wireless microphones that operate in the 694-820 MHz range.

The regulations advised last month require those importing or manufacturing wireless microphones using this range to include a warning label to alert buyers that it will be illegal to use it after 31 December 2014.

The ACMA has published a series of fact sheets targeted to community groups and small businesses (PDF link), professional users (PDF) and suppliers.
