Brandenburg selects Motorola TETRA
Motorola Solutions has been selected in the latest tender of the German federal state of Brandenburg, and will supply TETRA digital radio solutions to security authorities.
The radios plus accessories and supporting services will be used by the police, emergency services, as well as public and private fire departments.
The multiyear frame contract covers the supply of approximately 2600 radios including MTP6650 and MTP8000Ex series portables, ST7000 small radios and MTM800 ET mobiles.
Motorola Solutions will update and expand the existing TETRA radio system, which has been used by public safety organisations in Brandenburg since 2013.
The delivery to police and non-police forces also includes the Integrated Terminal Management (iTM) solution for the entire vehicle fleet, which has up to 50,000 deployed devices.
In addition, Motorola Solutions will provide its TETRA RF Automated Coverage and Evaluation Solution (TRACES), which is designed to track network coverage and performance to provide full visibility of the TETRA network.
“The renewed TETRA tender win in Brandenburg reinforces our position as a trusted market leader in providing mission-critical communication solutions to public safety organisations in Germany and worldwide,” said Mark Schmidl, Vice President and General Manager, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) at Motorola Solutions.
