R&S NORA software platform for mobile network optimisation

R&S NORA is Windows-based software for measuring, analysing and reporting network performance and the quality of mobile services. Jointly developed with SwissQual AG, the platform offers a high level of usability combined with analysis modules that make it a versatile drive test measurement tool to empower users at all levels, and maximise the efficiency of the optimisation procedure.

The modern user interface is optimised for both touch and mouse operation, offering logical workflows that simplify operation, reduce user interaction and minimise the risk of making mistakes. It is suitable for mobile operators, infrastructure vendors and testing service providers for all major cellular network technologies such as LTE-A, LTE, UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+, GSM, GPRS and EDGE. The software can also connect to a range of SwissQual smartphones and to mobile network scanners such as the R&S TSMA, TSME and TSMW.

The software platform offers several options that cover a range of analysis tasks for optimising, verifying and troubleshooting mobile networks. The software detects problem spots by providing detailed statistics; for instance, on download speed or dropped calls. The modules can analyse the collected data in real time during measurement and afterwards during post-processing.
