The IC-F3003/4003 series of radios has been released.
The transceivers offer a high-efficiency FET that reduces the consumption current by providing about 20 h of typical use with the supplied 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery pack.
The built-in BTL (bridge-tied load) amplifier and 45 mm speaker provide powerful 800 mW audio, making it suitable for noisy environments. With only a few knobs and buttons, the radio is simple enough for anyone to use, making it a suitable choice for organisations that lack the resources to train staff in radio operation.
Other features include selective calling, quiet stand-by, time-out timer, lone worker function, stun and revive as well as an internal VOX capability, providing hands-free operation.
It carries the MIL-STD810 seal and is rated to IP54 against ingress.
