Pivotel OneTouch SL-Mini portable satellite connectivity solution

Pivotel has launched the OneTouch SL-Mini, introducing a rugged, portable satellite connectivity solution designed specifically for government, public safety, emergency services and enterprise teams operating beyond reliable terrestrial coverage.

The product combines Starlink Mini connectivity with advanced LiFePO₄ portable power in a self-contained field platform that can be rapidly deployed by operational personnel without specialist communications expertise. It is RCM-approved for the Australian market, providing local compliance assurance alongside its rugged field design.

Six removable, hot-swappable 96 Wh battery modules provide more than 24 h of continuous runtime on a single charge, depending on usage, and can support up to three standard business days where the service is used across normal working hours. The modular battery design reduces weight and allows individual batteries to be replaced without taking the service offline. The removable sub-100 Wh battery modules are also designed to make the system easier to transport between deployments by commercial air, subject to airline and dangerous-goods requirements — an important consideration for national government, emergency management and infrastructure teams that need to move communications capability rapidly.

Beyond the hardware, Pivotel is positioning the product as part of a managed connectivity capability. Services can be brought into the company’s Pulsar environment to simplify visibility and cost management, with customers also benefiting from 24/7 support. AC, vehicle DC and optional solar charging, Ethernet pass-through and a growing range of mounting options further extend the solution across portable and mobile deployments.
