Airbus wins another TETRA contract for Fuzhou, China

Officials in the capital of China’s Fujian province have signed a contract with Airbus for the supply of TETEA communications for the city of Fuzhou’s newest metro line.

The system will comprise a Taira Server, TB3 base stations, TMR880i mobile radios and TH1n lightweight terminals for staff members.

The new metro line will be over 36 km long and will serve Fuzhou’s approximately 7.74 million citizens. The first section is planned to go into operation in 2021.

The contract adds to two others won by Airbus for Fuzhou’s metro lines. The company’s TETRA solutions are already used by lines 1 and 2, which became operational in 2016 and 2019 respectively.

Airbus TETRA solutions are used on metro lines in 18 Chinese cities.
