Lite Coms tactical satellite terminals to support the ADF

Lite Coms, a US manufacturer of advanced tactical satellite communications (SATCOM) terminals for defence and government applications, has been selected by Boeing Defence Australia to provide tactical SATCOM technology in support of the Australian Defence Force’s LAND 4140 Land C4 program — an initiative to upgrade the Australian Army’s Land Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4) capabilities.

As part of the program, Lite Coms will provide its LITE SAT 1.3A tactical satellite terminals, designed for rapid deployment and dependable communications in austere environments. The LITE SAT 1.3A is a lightweight, rugged, auto-acquire satellite terminal engineered for military and government operations.

Built with a durable carbon fibre reflector and designed for fast, tool-free deployment, the terminal enables operators to quickly establish satellite communications across a variety of environments. In this case, it will deliver secure, resilient, high-performance, beyond line-of-sight connectivity for Australian Defence Force operations.

“Lite Coms is thrilled to be selected by Boeing Defence Australia and we are ready to provide them and the ADF with the highest level of performance and support,” said Lite Coms CEO Bob Jacobson. “We believe this continues to showcase the industry-leading capability of the LITE SAT 1.3A and the value that Lite Coms offers our customers.”

According to Lite Coms, the deal highlights the continued demand for dependable, adaptable, field-proven communications technologies that enable military personnel to maintain connectivity wherever their missions take them. Additional program details and production timelines will be announced as they become available.
