Polish power utility selects Motorola TETRA for digital upgrade
One of Poland's largest power distribution companies, ENERGA-OPERATOR SA, has chosen Motorola Solutions’ TETRA technology to migrate its communications to digital.
Motorola Solutions will deliver and implement a system that uses Dimetra IP TETRA switches, plus TETRA base stations, mobile radios, portable radios and radio modems.
The system will boost communications for the utility company’s employees and control rooms.
Motorola Solutions will also integrate third-party solutions including a SCADA system from Elkomtech and Mikronika to control power distribution equipment at remote sites, plus it will provide network integration services, dispatch console solutions and post-sale service and maintenance.
ENERGA-OPERATOR SA has more than 2.9 million private and business customers.
