The TX3B is a radio transmitter module from Radiometrix which can support data rates of up to 64 Kbps.

It is designed to serve as an enhanced higher-power replacement for the company's TX3A-869-64 transmitter.

Two frequency variants are available - one has 5 mW RF power with no duty cycle restriction, and the other has 8 mW RF power output with a 1% duty cycle restriction. The transmitter modules each use a frequency modulated crystal-locked PLL and operate between 2.9 and 16 V at a current of 14 mA nominal. The RF power output, from a 3 V supply, is +9 dBm at a frequency of 868.30 MHz.

Available for operation in the 868-870 MHz band, it combines full screening with internal filtering to ensure EMC compliance by minimising spurious radiation and susceptibility.

The transmitter and its matching receiver (the RX3A) is suitable for one-to-one and multinode wireless links in such varied applications as EPOS equipment, inventory tracking systems, telemetry, telecommand, remote industrial process control, environmental monitoring and data networks.

Because of their small size and low power requirements, both modules are suitable for use in portable, battery-powered applications such as handheld terminals using shorter antennas.
