Andrew Wireless solutions has increased the compatibility of its Teletilt product family by upgrading the remote electrical tilt system’s components.
The company now manufactures all its Teletilt system components and firmware to be compliant with Antenna Interface Standards Group (AISG) 1.1 and 2.0 modes, making them compatible with existing and future tower equipment.
The Teletilt system is centred on allowing operators to re-align their coverage patterns without sending out tower crews.
The company has also introduced its antenna network management system site manager software interface that enables operators to access their Teletilt-enabled sites from network centres anywhere in the world over an ethernet connection.
The software gives operators routine, instant feedback for their network, allowing them to make easy adjustments to changing traffic patterns.
Site technicians can also use the company’s diagnostic tool, the ATTK200-kit, for assistance in site installation and maintenance. The kits will identify any Teletilt-enabled antennas installed at the site and their configurations, making identification easier.
The kit allows for testing and maintenance to be conducted without cutting into the RET cable.
