Andrew is expanding its integrated cabinet product range for wireless networks with multiple size offerings that feature cooling techniques for added protection at lower cost.
The RBA series of integrated cabinets helps wireless operators and equipment manufacturers protect base station equipment from environmental conditions while reducing operating expenses and energy consumption.
The cabinets are available in four height sizes with each occupying the same area at the base. This allows operators to buy only the amount of cabinet needed to fit current equipment installations.
The company has also released EcoPower fuel cell backup power supply cabinets that provide DC backup power for wireless and wireline networks.
The cabinets have a modular design to meet stringent backup power needs. The proton exchange membrane hydrogen fuel cells, housed in a secure, weather-resistant cabinet for outdoor deployment, are claimed to have a smaller footprint and more dense power backup than other systems.
Instead of cooling evenly across an entire rack, the series directs cooling to specific spots most affected by heat-generating equipment.
