GME Electrophone has released the TX610, a 477 MHz UHF CB handheld transceiver.

The transceiver has a full 1 W RF output and other features include: CTCSS (38 tones selectable by channel); channel scan; duplex; VOX (voice activated transmit built in); dual watch; five selectable calling tones; Roger beep tone; monitor button; keypad lock; signal strength indicator; battery level indicator and low alert; and autopower save mode.

The device is powered by 4 x AAA alkaline or rechargeable batteries. The unit has external battery contacts, making it suitable for use in the optional desktop drop-in charger and AC adapter.

Other accessories include a speaker microphone, ear microphone and carry case.
