The Motorola GP628 Plus is a non-keypad, two-way radio and said by the company to be one of the toughest units it has produced. Rated IP67, dust-tight and water-submersible, the radio is resistant to knocks and drops.

It is the company's smallest radio, designed for hard environments with Factory Mutual approval and it meets military standard 810C, D, E and F.

Switchable RF power gives a choice between maximum coverage and battery conservation whilst a tight/normal squelch allows either clearer playback or increased coverage.

With a frequency range of 136-174/330-440/403-470 and 450-527 MHz, channel spacing is 12.5/20/25 kHz and a power output of 5 W on VHF and 4 W on UHF.

Enhanced signalling features support PTT-ID (encode); selective call (decode); call alert; radio check; selective radio inhibit (decode).
