Radar level transmitter

Sitrans LR460 is a continuous radar level measurement transmitter featuring 24 GHz frequency-modulated continuous wave technology and process intelligence echo processing.

The unit is designed for difficult solids applications, including those with extreme dust, high temperatures and long ranges up to 100 m.

Virtually any solid medium can be measured, including cement powder, fly-ash, coal, gypsum, flour, grain, aggregates and plastics.

Process intelligence ensures that the device responds automatically to changing material conditions and physical silo features such as fixed obstructions or product build-up.

The unit includes a new antenna for low signal loss and improved reception gain, increasing the signal-to-noise ratio. It allows for detection of low dielectric constant materials over long ranges.

Reliable measurement is possible with a horn antenna of 100 mm diameter.

The transmitter can be positioned relative to the sloped surface of the material, improving the return signal quality. It measures material at any temperature.
