SSB transmitter

The Barrett 300-1000 W HF SSB transmitter is a compact rackmounted unit developed for base applications in large HF networks.

The transmitter is supplied as a complete package with exciter, power supply, RF power amplifier, interconnect cables and all rackmount hardware. The exciter is a company 2050 transceiver with a 500-channel capacity and all mode capability.

The RF amplifier is a solid-state unit with an LCD that shows the amplifier's operating parameters. No turning adjustments are required and the ALC system protects the unit from sever mismatches.

The separate switchmode power supply operates over a range of voltages from 110 to 250 and is protected against overloads.

Other features include: frequency range of 2 to 30 MHz broadband, adjustable 300 to 1000 W PEP, SSB 100 W average FSK, CW, intermodulation distortion -30 dB typical, harmonics and spurious emissions -50 dB and duty cycle 50%.
