Symena Capesso LTE

Monday, 01 March, 2010 | Supplied by: TeleResources Engineering (Aust) Pty Ltd

Symena has released Capesso LTE to eight of 10 LTE equipment vendors for use in designing the next generation of radio networks.

Capesso LTE is being used to design networks in Europe, Asia and North America with the tools Atoll from Forsk and Mentum Planet.

Greenfield, Symena’s fast radio network design and dimensioning tool, has also been used in early design generation with several vendors.

There are several new design parameters for LTE that were not there with UMTS and CDMA. They include MIMO, several frequency bands, variable bandwidths and adaptive coding and modulation. Each has an impact on the business case for LTE deployment.
