Tait’s TP8100 series of conventional and trunked portable radios claim to set new standards for build quality and industrial design. Dustproof, waterproof and shockproof beyond IP67 and military standards (MIL-STD 810 F), all models in the TP8100 series deliver reliability and durability.

The Tait TP8100 series of portable radios provides a flexible solution for many applications. The five models available are: TP8110 16-channel conventional radio, TP8115 128-channel conventional radio, four-key keypad; TP8120 350-channel conventional radio, 16-key keypad; TP8135 MPT 1327 trunked radio, four-key keypad; TP8140 MPT 1327 trunked radio, 15-key keypad. All models have three programmable function buttons, a side-mounted accessory connector and a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery as standard.

Three RF switching bands are available: 136–174 MHz; 400–470 MHz and 450–530 MHz.

Other features include: the latest manufacturing process and precision SMT assembly; aluminium chassis; stainless steel antenna connector and reinforced shoulder strengthens an otherwise vulnerable area; two-shot moulding, toughened rubber armour corners, channel selector and volume knob; strong belt clip attachment (but also very easy to remove); extensive performance testing; IP67 rating, means zero dust ingress and immersible in 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes; military standards 810 C, D, E and F; Li-Ion battery yields shift life >11 hours on 5/5/90 duty cycle under standard conditions; wiping spring contacts on battery charger and gold swipe battery contacts.

The TP8100 is a full-feature handheld radio including: scanning, voting, SelCall, CTCSS, stun and revive and hunt routines that invisibly seek out the best control channel for reliable service.

The TP8135 and TP8140 have full trunked capabilities eg, multiple call types such as individual and group calls, priority calls, PABX and interfleet calls.

Lone worker is available on all TP8100 models.
