Wireless backhaul product range

The airHaul Nexus intelligent wireless backhaul family of LongRange broadband wireless products from smartBridges is designed to provide an alternative to expensive, leased T1/E1 lines and multiple T1 circuits. The backhaul radios provide a solution for near-line-of-sight applications in enterprise point-to-(multi)point wireless wide area networks (WAN) or service provider extensions (full-repeater).

Using the latest COFDM technology, the product range with triple band radio focuses on providing high data throughput over long distances. The triple band radios operate in the licence-free 2.4 or 4.9 to 5.9 GHz bands (software selectable) to provide superior performance for transmit power and receive sensitivity for long operating range.

Features include: data path optimisation through Layer 3 routing; prioritisation of voice (VoIP), video (VoD) or any application data with quality of service queuing; revenue optimisation with bandwidth management; network scalability and management with VLAN (IEEE 802.11q) segmentation; data security protection with Wi-Fi protected access (WPA) and 128 bit advanced encryption system (AES); and quick deployment with the ready to install 'out-of-the-box' kit and user-friendly software interface.
