Wireless Pacific P25 low-cost ethernet

Thursday, 03 July, 2008 | Supplied by: Pacific Wireless Communications Pty Ltd

Wireless Pacific has enhanced its P25 repeater range to incorporate IP addressing, allowing low-cost ethernet networking for end-to-end P25 digital clear or code transparent operation.

The application allows two or more WP P25 repeater stations to be connected via an internal LAN/WAN, 802.11 wireless access points or even the public internet at minimal cost.

This allows wide area coverage or will address ‘coverage holes’ in underground car parks, or applications such as mines or rail.

Any digital transmission clear or coded received will be retransmitted through all connected repeater stations.

The configuration also lends itself to cross-band interoperability solutions.
