Wireless solutions provider Axell Wireless announced today that its product portfolio has been approved by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). The certification enables it to offer a broad portfolio of public safety coverage solutions to the Australian market.

Following up on the company’s D-CSR 3604 digital channel selective UHF repeater, which received ACMA approval in December 2012, the D-CSR 4008 has also now received ACMA approval. The D-CSR 4008 is a channel selective repeater designed to support public safety networks and professional mobile radio systems such as TETRA, APCO25 and other systems in the 800 MHz band. It is suitable for security applications within buildings or critical infrastructure facilities such as metro (underground) networks, rail or road tunnels, airports and energy or chemical plants.

The company says that is has been providing public safety coverage for challenging environments across the globe for over 40 years, and can now bring its range of public safety coverage solutions to the Australian market.

Axell Wireless has been involved in significant deployments within the region already, including the Clems7 (NSBT) tunnel in Brisbane and the Brisbane Airport Link.

Axell Wireless is exhibiting at Comms Connect in Melbourne (20-22 November), on stand number 141.
