Digital radio contract
SITA has signed a contract with Rohde & Schwarz to supply VHF digital radios.
The contract includes supplying a minimum 400 series 4200 transceivers XU4200 to support ACARS and VDL mode 2 services.
SITA operates more than 1100 radio stations worldwide based on transceivers to support AOC with ACARS and VDL mode 2. The XU4200 will be enhanced to be interfaced via user-specific protocol to the SITA ground computers supporting transceiver solutions.
