Fire centre gets Acom

Tuesday, 23 August, 2011

A 63-position Zetron Acom console has been chosen to equip the Los Angeles Fire Department’s new Metro Fire Communication Centre. The system will also provide a migration path to the area’s upcoming Project 25 regional radio infrastructure.

The Acom will serve as the MFC’s central dispatch and communications system. Acom’s P25 open-standards console subsystems interface will also allow the agency to connect to the Los Angeles Regional Interoperable Communication System (LA-RICS) when it is established.
