Motorola Solutions has delivered its 200,000th TETRA digital radio terminal to German public safety organisations.

The 200,000th radio terminal was delivered in Bavaria, where Motorola Solutions’ partner abel & käufl Mobilfunkhandels GmbH has won the tender for the districts of Weilheim-Schongau, Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen and Garmisch-Partenkirchen for the delivery of 5000 TETRA radio terminals and corresponding service and support.

To mark this important milestone, Christoph Thomas, managing director of Motorola Solutions in Germany, handed over a specially created MTP850 radio emblazoned with the Bavarian crest to the representatives of the three district authorities.

The TETRA digital radio solutions will be used by the fire departments and security services of the three districts to enable secure and reliable communication of the emergency services.
