Sepura's Florida-based partner Scientia Global has been awarded a contract by the US Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement to supply a TETRA system for Lebanon’s Internal Security Forces - Land Mobile Radio Project.

The contract marks the first of several phases to build a new nationwide communications system for the Lebanese Internal Security Forces.

The TETRA infrastructure will be implemented in the Beirut and Mt. Lebanon Governorates. It comprises several base station sites, several control rooms, a switching centre and a microwave backhaul communications network.

The system has been designed to be highly reliable and redundant in order to meet current communications requirements while providing growth capacity and a clear migration path for the technology.
