Zetron has announced the successful deployment of its Advanced Communications (AcomEVO) console system using the P25 Console Subsystem Interface (CSSI) at the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office Public Safety Centre in Freehold, New Jersey.

Zetron says the 60-position console system is the first in the industry to use the CSSI in a P25 Phase II system. It is also the first non-Motorola console to integrate with Motorola’s ASTRO 25 Phase II network. The significance of P25 Phase II is that it offers twice the spectrum efficiency provided by Phase I.

“Zetron has been an advocate of P25 and a leader in implementing multivendor solutions based on the P25 console interface standard,” said Zetron President and CEO Ellen O’Hara. “In fact, we have logged over two million operational hours using the P25 CSSI. Our ongoing commitment to P25 helps ensure that customers have the freedom and flexibility to take advantage of the benefits open standards offer.”
