JR90 data radio

Trio Datacom has released the 512 Kbps version of the JR900 frequency hopping data radio for industrial ethernet communications in the 900 MHz licence-free band.

The radio has data rates twice the speed of the original to enable a wide variety of applications that require higher data capability than SCADA and telemetry systems can provide.

The JR900 can provide efficient communications to many other industrial applications such as security monitoring, access control and safety, and voice over internet as it extends the video and data transfer capacity for wireless remote monitoring and communications.

The JR900 512k ethernet radio modem provides an interface with all kinds of security equipment and is suitable for remote monitoring of potentially vulnerable sites (water reservoirs, oilfields, pipelines, utility substations, etc).

For existing company radio systems, the device is complete with a backward capability option (256k) for difficult paths and is fully compatible with company diagnostics to allow system matching with other radios.

Designed around a 1 W transmitter output, each radio includes a wide range of features such as dual independent ethernet ports and support for legacy RS232 serial communications.

The JR900 is suitable for ethernet/IP protocols (including UDP, TCP, DHCP, ARP, ICMP, STP, IGMP, SNTP and TFPT) and includes a 10/100 auto-detecting interface with MDS/MIDX auto sensing.

Other features include a high-throughput, low-latency repeating mode and the ability to use dual high gain directional antennas where a single omnidirectional antenna at the repeater cannot provide the desired range.
