The MCR-RAD is an integrated radio and I/O module designed to eliminate cable and conduit for analog and digital signals in harsh industrial environments. It uses spread spectrum frequency hopping techniques to guarantee a licence-free, interference-free link between remote devices and the control room.

The modules are available as a transmitter/receiver pair, are factory programmed, calibrated and tested as a set, capable of carrying one 4-20 mA current loop and two digital status signals.

Typical in-plant range is 200-300 m with no line-of-sight, much further with outdoor applications. The transmitter and receiver are powered separately with a 12-30 VDC source (power supply, battery, solar, etc). The process signals are simply wired to the input terminals of the transmitter and output via wires connected to the receiver. No wiring is required in between.

Featured in a slim (17.5 mm) DIN rail mount housing, the module provides LED indicators for digital input/output signal status and radio link status at the transmitter and receiver.
