The 8920 RF comms test set software, RF Tools, adds PC connectivity by providing screen capture, cable fault location and many other capabilities essential for the installation and maintenance of two-way radio systems.
RF Tools provides: cable fault location (TDR); antenna/return-loss analysis; diplexer/insertion-loss measurements; interference monitor (unattended spectrum recording); screen capture.
The instrument allows the user to test most receiver/transmitter functions.
The software offers a spectrum recording capability that allows unattended monitoring of the RF spectrum to identify interfering signals and illegal transmissions. Each spectrum trace is time and date stamped; zone-alarms allow customised triggering when unwanted signals appear.
