The TX2S, from Radiometrix, is a miniature PCB mounting, UHF radio transmitter for the 433.92 MHz (Britain) or 434.42 MHz (European) radio bands.

Contained within a compact package, it allows design engineers to create a simple data link (either with a node-to-node or multi-node architecture) capable of supporting rates of up to 40 Kbps at distances to 75 m in-building and 300 m across open ground.

The crystal-based PLL controlled FM transmitter operates from an input voltage of between 2.2 and 4 (allowing it to be used in portable, battery-powered system designs) and delivers nominally +0 dBm at 7 mA.

The module is approved to the EN 300 220-3 and EN 301 489 standards. Internal filtering helps to ensure EMC levels are kept low by minimising spurious radiation.

Key applications include car/building security systems, EPOS monitoring, inventory tracking, remote industrial process control and computer networking.
