Hittite Microwave has released two SiGe HBT gain block MMIC amplifiers for use in mobile/3G, FWA, CATV, microwave radio and test equipment applications from DC to 4 GHz.

The HMC478ST89 and HMC478MP86 SiGe HBT devices are fully matched to 50 ohm, provide 22 dB gain and can be used as cascadable gain stages in various RF and IF applications. With +18 dBm of output P1dB and +32 dBm of output IP3 at 1 GHz, they can also be used as LO buffer amplifiers or as PA pre-drivers.

The amplifiers operate from a single supply of +5 to +12 V, consume 62 mA and require no external matching components. Both products offer a Class 1C (1000 V HBM) ESD rating for robust performance.
