High frequency simulation software
HFWorks (High Frequency Simulation Suite) EDA Software from ElectroMagneticWorks is now available.
HFWorks is a fully 3D field simulator for RF, microwave and wireless applications. These applications include: dielectric resonators, oscillators, tuning elements, waveguide twists and bends, waveguide tees, directional couplers, isolators, circulators, attenuators, antennas, high Q filters, etc.
The software is based on the powerful finite element method (FEM), which solves the physical equations directly and without any simplifications or assumptions. It is designed to help the user gain physical insight into the performance of their designs through the computation of important parameters such as: resonance frequency, Q-factors, scattering matrix, antenna patterns, antenna gain and directivity, field distributions, EMI, EMC, etc.
The package is suitable for those interested in designing circuit components or antennas (whether using planar circuit technologies such as MIC, MHMIC and MMIC or standard waveguides or dielectric guides), frequency response or antennas and circuits, resonance behaviour or scattering from objects, EMI or EMC.
