The SKY65137, along with other solutions in this product family, serve as a media gateway, allowing wireless access to an array of multimedia content from any room and replacing cables currently required in the home.
Additional applications include high-performance video gaming, outdoor wide-range access points and extended-range routers.
The 5 GHz solution increases the range and data rates of existing conventional Wi-Fi gateways and clients, making it suitable for streaming video wirelessly in the home. It will allow consumers to wirelessly access an entire entertainment suite from any room.
The device is a microwave monolithic integrated circuit PA using indium gallium phosphide heterojunction bipolar transistor technology.
The amplifier is also internally input-output matched in a 20-pin 6 x 6 mm multi-chip module surface-mounted technology package that enables ease of use.
The device delivers 24 dBm linear output at less than 2.5% error vector magnitude.
