The RM-232-433 radio modem provides a wireless communications link between two serial devices. It can be used in a variety of data communications applications that require a simple to use, invisible data link.

High-speed data stream permits point-to-point error free transfers up to 1440 bps half duplex.

Repeater mode enables the modem to extend the effective operating range of a point-to-point link by forwarding data packets to a maximum of three repeater hops.

The device uses unit and site addressed data packets with error checking and packet acknowledgments to achieve a well managed wireless link. The on-air data rate is selectable from 600 to 14400 bps, thus improving network access for multiple point-to-point links within close proximity.

Users can configure the radio modem for point-to-multipoint broadcast mode and combine with any number of intelligent host computers/controllers to implement very large networks.

The device supports a range of built-in diagnostic functions that can be used for network interrogation, network problem finding and radio site and range testing.
