Aimed at applications where RF engineers need to consider the interference effects of nearby vibrating machinery, Radiometrix has developed the HVR2 receiver module, a high vibration-resistant version of the RLC2 that uses the company’s direct digital synthesiser (DDS) local oscillator design to make it almost totally immune to mechanical vibrations at frequencies below 500 Hz.
When used in conjunction with the matching TLC2H-433-5 transmitter module it can provide users with a 5 Kbps wireless data link suitable for even the most troublesome of industrial environments.
Operating in the 433.05-434.775 MHz band, the module can receive signals via 32 operating channels set through the serial interface (25 kHz narrow band spacing).
With a receiver sensitivity of -118 dBm (for 12 dB SINAD), the module can maintain an operating range of above 500 m. It runs off a supply voltage of between 3.7 and 15 and draws a current of 30 mA.
