The Airborne Enterprise Class Wireless Device Server and Bridge Modules are claimed to be the first in the industry to provide WPA2-Enterprise Class Extensible Authentication Protocols (EAP) with support for authentication Certificates. The modules provide Wireless Serial Device Server or Ethernet-to-Wireless Bridge functionality and are designed to meet extended operating temperatures.

The Embedded Wireless Modules are suitable for:

  • Wireless medical equipment
  • Barcode readers
  • Credit card readers
  • Printers
  • Security clearance devices
  • Connecting to RFID readers

The new 802.11b/g modules support 802.11i, 802.1x, WPA2-PSK, WPA2-Enterprise with Certificates, WPA-PSK, WPA-LEAP and WEP. The modules also include support for EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, PEAP and LEAP with AES-CCMP as well as storage for multiple Certificates and Private Keys. Other features include Port filtering, 802.11b/g NAT3 Ethernet Gateway and DHCP or Fixed IP on wired interface. The modules manage all authentication processes without requiring interaction from the host and provide 802.11b/g Serial Device Server and Multiple UARTs including SPI and Serial (RS232/422/485) interfaces.
