Zetron P25 console subsystem interface

Friday, 27 August, 2010 | Supplied by: Zetron Australasia Pty Ltd

The open-standards Telecommunications Industry Association P25 console subsystem interface that supports digital connectivity between the company’s advanced communications system (ACOM) and trunked P25 networks.

Acom is a fully digital switching and multiplexing dispatch system that integrates voice (radio and telephone), data, paging and video. CSSI further enhances Acom’s interoperability.

Through CSSI and its other P25 interfaces, Acom supports Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2-compliant digital encryption. As a result, Acom can meet or exceed the most stringent existing security requirements.

Because systems that use CSSI can work together without requiring proprietary interface protocols, they give users more choice in their selection of dispatch console systems and radios.

CSSI complements the company’s previously released digital fixed station interface, which enables digital communications between Acom consoles and conventional P25 networks that are operating with either an analog FM or P25 common air interface.
