VeEX FL150 FaultScout for fast, smart fibre fault finding

For field technicians working across FTTx, PON and last-mile fibre networks, speed and simplicity can make a major difference. The VeEX FL150 FaultScout is a compact fibre-optic multimeter designed to simplify fibre certification and troubleshooting without requiring technicians to interpret complex OTDR traces.

Using VeEX’s V-Scout link-mapping technology, the FL150 automatically analyses the fibre link and presents events through intuitive icons and clear pass/fail messaging. It measures fibre length, insertion loss and optical return loss while identifying the location and type of events such as connectors and splices.

The product supports single mode point-to-point links up to 60 km and PON links with up to 24 dB loss. A filtered 1650 nm port enables in-service testing, while the integrated dual-wavelength PON power meter supports 1490 and 1577 nm measurements for GPON and XGS-PON environments.

Designed for demanding field use, the FL150 combines a rugged handheld format with a 5″ colour touchscreen and more than 9 h of continuous battery operation. Results can be saved, organised and transferred for reporting, with optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth supporting connected workflows.

By combining single-fibre connection, automated link analysis and straightforward results, the device is designed to help technicians troubleshoot quickly, improve testing consistency and reduce repeat site visits.
