Fluke 5730A Multifunction Calibrator
Fluke Calibration has introduced the 5730A Multifunction Calibrator, designed for calibration professionals who require the most accurate dc/low-frequency signals available in a multifunction calibrator.
The device builds on the 5700A/5720A with improved accuracy, new digital components and a large full-colour, touch-screen display. The display brings all of the calibrator’s status and settings into one location, making any operation accessible with the touch of a finger. For laboratories running their existing 57XX calibrator under remote control, the 5730A can be set to run in 5700A/5720A emulation mode, eliminating the need to rewrite system software or procedures.
The calibrator also improves upon the performance of the 5720A in ac current, ac voltage and resistance functions. Specifications are absolute, stated in 99% and 95% confidence intervals, traceable to international standards via ISO 17025 accreditation and include the uncertainty of the calibration standards used, so no additional analysis is required.
The device features artefact calibration, which transfers the assigned value of an external artefact to a large array of multidimensional parameters within the instrument. The calibrator can fully adjust itself using only three external standards and the calibration process takes only about an hour as opposed to several hours using traditional methods.
