Ideal Industries industrial-grade True RMS TightSight clamp meters
Ideal Industries’ industrial-grade versions of its True RMS TightSight clamp meters are suitable for demanding applications where accuracy, reliability and durability are required.
The ergonomically designed clamp meter has an additional display at its base for safe reading in hard-to-reach locations, allowing electricians to keep their head and face out of potentially dangerous confined panels while viewing the measurement.
Measurement performance is improved over standard clamp meters through the high frequency rejection (HFR) function to assure accuracy and stability when measuring in noisy electrical environments or with complex waveforms, such as adjustable speed drives.
The slim, tapered jaws with ‘hook tip’ facilitate reaching into crowded cable bundles. The hardened case and switch construction withstand heavy-duty commercial and industrial usage.
The clamp meter is available in four versions: 660 A with or without DC current measurement, and 1000 A with or without DC current measurement. Each clamp meter is designed to allow single-handed operation even when the user is wearing gloves.
Additional features include: CAT IV 600 V rating; min/max recording, peak hold (inrush); capacitance; resistance; audible continuity and auto power off.
Through firmware calibration, accuracy is maintained because the clamp meters contain no variable potentiometers or capacitors.
Clamp meters can be supplied with a calibration certificate from Trio Smartcal’s NATA accredited repair and calibration laboratory.
