Hioki 3455 insulation tester

Friday, 05 August, 2005 | Supplied by: Power Parameters Pty Ltd

The battery-operated Hioki 3455 high voltage insulation tester is suited to industry as it can test voltages including 250, 500, 1000, 2500 and 5000 VDC.

The instrument measures insulation resistance to 5 tera-ohm or leakage current down to 1 nA. It also measures polarisation index and dielectric absorption index.

Live circuit measurement is provided to 750 VAC and 1000 VDC. Display is via a backlit LCD with both digital and bargraph readout. After each measurement there is automatic discharge of the object under test.

The timer function used for the indices can also be used for automatically stepping the testing voltage from 500 V in 500 V steps to 2500 V, or alternatively, in 1000 V steps from 1000 to 5000 V.

Timer steps are adjustable from 30 s to 30 min. The instrument is provided with temperature compensation.

Measured data memory can store up to 3600 records in interval recording. A USB port allows data transfer and PC comms and report editing software is supplied.
