The 1868A and 1868D ultra-high insulation resistance meters from Quadtech measure resistance from 10 k to 1 P (1015) at voltages from 10 to 1000 (1868 A) and from 50 to 5000 (1868D).

Accuracy is ±2% up to 1012 and test voltages are adjustable in 1 V steps over the test voltage range, thus allowing resistance material characterisation.

Both models are capable of reliably testing high capacitance test objects. The 1868A can supply charging currents of 2, 25 and 80 mA. The 1868D supplies charging currents of 2, 10 and 18 mA.

In both instruments, charging current selection is password-protected above 2 mA.

Programmable charge, delay and discharge times permit testing free from time-variable effects due to capacitance effects. There are five programmable testing levels to facilitate routine testing, and the instruments can store up to four tests each consisting of up to 20 steps.

Additional memory is available via PCMCIA memory card. The instruments are suitable for production testing via RS232 and GPIB standard interfaces. Measurements are displayed via numerical display, bargraph and X-Y display.
