Rohde & Schwarz ESR26 EMI test receiver

Tuesday, 13 August, 2013 | Supplied by: Rohde & Schwarz (Australia) Pty Ltd

Rohde & Schwarz has introduced the ESR26 EMI test receiver, which covers the range from 10 Hz to 26.5 GHz, enabling conducted or radiated certification measurements in line with commercial standards such as EN, CISPR and FCC as well as military standards.

The company says that, due to the device's broadband architecture, it can perform standard-compliant disturbance measurements up to 6000 times faster than other testers.

The instrument offers diagnostic tools to support design engineers, such as: persistence mode; display of the probability of amplitudes occurring at specific frequencies using different colours; and a frequency mask trigger. The instrument is also a full-featured spectrum analyser, providing tried and tested analysis tools such as IF analysis and time domain display.

ESR26 options include a DC power supply with rechargeable battery pack, a solid-state drive (SSD) and an optional ruggedised housing. The company’s EMC32 software can be used to remotely control the  ESR26 and integrate it into complex EMC test systems for automated measurement sequences.
