Validation testing

The Qualmark Typhoon 1.5 HALT (highly accelerated life test) chamber provides users with the ability to test the stability and reliability of electronic and electromechanical products at an early stage in the design and development process.Test results are available in three days, rather than weeks or months with conventional validation testing.

The HALT chamber works by applying thermal and vibration stresses to the product in a controlled, progressive manner. The aim is to expose weak links in the design so that it can be optimised before production starts.

It can be used to test products at all levels - from individual components to finished products - and claims to improve product reliability and reduce field failures.
