Equipped with a Radius client, the HS900 HotSpot solution is designed to enable companies to provide, manage and bill for wireless internet access to as many as 100 customers per unit, while being able to be deployed in multiple numbers for large scale, multi-site services.

Proprietors are able to store and manage large repositories of customer data, such as authentication and registration details, meaning that lightweight internet customers can return to use the service at their discretion.

Customers must be allocated with a user name and password so that they can be authenticated with a Radius server. This differs from conventional, Wi-Fi-style services which demand that users register their personal details, including credit card, with a specific provider.

The product is a one-box hotspot solution featuring an 802.11b + (22 Mbps) wireless router, 4-port switch with Radius support, providing an instant wireless internet connection for up to 100 users at a time, across multiple sites and from a single location. The system uses IP plug-and-play technology, meaning that new users and IP configurations such as DHCP, Private IP and Static IP are immediately recognised thereby removing the need for users to re-configure their wireless laptop or PDA.
