Entel has released the tough, lightweight HT series of portable radios that are fully submersible and can withstand complete immersion for an hour to a depth of 5 m.

They are designed and built to deliver reliable performance in the most hostile environments and are suitable for use where ordinary radios could suffer corrosion, liquid ingress or physical damage.

The series is available in standard and intrinsically safe (Atex) versions. Both have 128 channels and come in the bands of 66-88, 148-174, 438-470 and 460-500 MHz.

They have a large display and rubber side-grips, making them easy to grip with wet or gloved hands.

Key features include high-speed scanning, VOX, talk-around, battery indicator, CTCSS/DCS, TOT, high/low power and power-saver. The 1800 mAh Li-Ion batteries supplied provide 14 hours of service at 5/5/90 duty cycle using high power or 18 hours on low power.
