Iberdrola chooses Zetron's AcomNOVUS for Spanish control centres
Zetron has announced that Spanish electric utility company Iberdrola España has selected its communications solution, AcomNOVUS, to coordinate and control Iberdrola’s extensive energy operations throughout Spain.
Zetron said its IP-based dispatch control system was chosen for its advanced voice telephony features, flexible and secure operator interface, and highly resilient core architecture.
The system will be deployed for use by over 150 control centre operators.
The AcomNOVUS is based on Zetron’s Acom System and supports a broad range of interfaces and technologies, including telephony technologies such as SIP, ISDN and QSig; signalling protocols and radio protocols; standards-based radio interfaces such as Project 25, TETRA, DMR and NXDN; and interfaces to conventional and proprietary systems and technologies.
“We are delighted that, after a rigorous review process, we were selected by Iberdrola for this extensive project,” said Zetron President and CEO Ellen O’Hara.
“We are also pleased that Iberdrola has recognised the high performance AcomNOVUS offers, as well as the exceptional support provided by Zetron’s organisation and partners. AcomNOVUS is an effective platform for organisations like Iberdrola whose control centre solutions must be able to meet current and evolving requirements.”
