Agilent has added WiMAX analysis software to its signalling analyser platform.
Mobile WiMAX is regarded as one of the key technology options of third-generation (3G) and fourth-generation (4G) mobile networks, where voice, video and data services all reside in one high-speed, spread-spectrum radio access network.
A new generation of protocol analysers is required to monitor access service network and connectivity service network of Mobile WiMAX.
The J7910A analyser allows full and uniform testing of network and individual call performance across all key interfaces of a network, including R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R8 interfaces.
The analyser allows users to troubleshoot, optimise performance benchmark, plan, install and maintain networks.
The instrument includes: end-to-end troubleshooting and optimisation with real-time protocol decode and call trace across multiple interfaces (eg, R1, R3, R6); WiMAX coverage with R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R8 decode and filtering capabilities; rapid time to insight with three mouse-clicks and message, call and measurement drill-down and drill-up analysis; remote configuration and control with full automated testing via XML API; and high use through concurrent multi-user access to a single solution.
