Tait Electronics has launched additions to its TB8100 systems base station family.

A 12 VDC basestation has been added to the existing TB8100 family and offers features and proved RF performance.

Positioned as an entry-level product for the high performance TB8100 systems basestation portfolio. Tait has also launched a 900 MHz TB8100 which provides site linking.

The basestation combines ease of use, remote monitoring capabilities, power management, RF performance and robustness. It also has an upgrade kit to convert to a digital P25 basestation.

The unit is suitable for applications where RF performance such as immunity to interference is vital. To ensure minimal site power supply loading for users, it has a power-saving feature which has been included as standard across the range. The station includes software features such as an integrated task manger, which helps companies to diagnose and adjust the operation of the station from their office or maintenance centre.

A self-monitoring capability that can dial-out to users and immediately notify them in case of potential issues is a feature of the station.
