The SonicWall Distributed Wireless Solution enables secure, centrally-managed wireless network deployment for businesses of all sizes and eliminates the need for separate, parallel infrastructures to support wired and wireless security and productivity services.

The system introduces integrated wired and wireless LAN security and productivity for medium and large networks through the use of SonicPoint 802.11a/b/g satellite access points. The governing gateway appliance automatically discovers, configures and manages each access point, allowing users to roam across large areas while maintaining their sessions and security policies.

The solution incorporates a number of powerful security features that simplify deployment while increasing security. These features include local management, global management, wireless intrusion detection, rogue access point detection and wireless guest services, plus the ability to add gateway enforced anti-virus and end-point security, content filtering and the Intrusion Prevention System.
